Hello, I am Jessie Marie, and I am a Textiles / Crafting enthusiast (read: addict)

Textiles has always been a part of my life, starting from a young age when my Nanna taught me how to cross stitch, right through to completing my Textile Design Degree in 2012. I now work as a teacher in a secondary school and spend every spare minute creating! I knit, sew, quilt, dye, you name it, I've probably tried it!

I can't tell you that this is a knitting blog, or a quilting blog or even a sewing blog; because to be honest it's all of the above and then some. Now I know that is NOT social media smart, it's not a way to create a brand or to distinguish yourself on the big wide web.  In fact it pretty much breaks the number one rule about writing any blog. However when I look at my body of work, it is wide ranging and eclectic. I will try almost any craft relating to Textiles (and more than a few that don't!), and I want this blog to represent that!  The title JessieMarieMakes comes from this, the blog is about me, my creations, and what I like working on in order for me to share what I do with the amazing creative community.
